Hello Brother Iannello,

I’ve been meaning to write to you about the impact of the ALL IN THE FAMILY CONFERENCE you held at our church. You asked me for a short summary of the feedback so here it is. It has been good to reflect upon the past year before writing this.

What a great opportunity to reach all of our adults in one conference! The subject made it easy for our people to invite everyone from aged parents to adult children gone astray. One parent remarked, “I see there’s more joy in the end when you’re not lazy and do your job in discipline.” Another said, “I was moved to start having my children apologize for their sin.” An elderly lady said, “I now understand how it’s possible to give counsel to my husband without disobeying his authority.” and, “I realize we don’t have to be perfect in order to be perfect for each other.” A young couple took notes in the booklet using a red pen and a blue pen alternating sessions. He learned, “You don’t bring home leftovers” from your worldly interactions of the day. Unusual material with surprising comments like, “I learned how to have a marriage fight but not be disagreeable.” and, “It all makes sense when you understand men have a ‘nothing file’.”
