Dear Pastor,

I have known Paul Iannello for the past 12 years. He is the founding pastor of New Beginnings Baptist Church, and was the current pastor when we moved as a family to Tennessee in 2007. After only a few visits it was undeniably evident that this church is where God would have us to join. It was both refreshing and convicting to sit under preaching that was from the Word of God and not embellished to fit my Laodicean mindset at the time. His leadership and preaching was not strangled by traditions of men, but sensitive to the Spirits leading.

Souls have been saved and many families and marriages have been restored through the years by Pastor Paul’s teaching and counseling sessions. He was not just putting in his time as a pastor, preaching messages, but was living the Christian life regardless of his location. His transparency both behind the pulpit and in private spoke volumes to me. He endured his first wife dying of cancer, and his long-time friends leaving the church, but he continued to preach and teach knowing God would have him lead by example. Some of the victories have been bitter sweet. In April 2018, after 22 years, he turned the church over to his son Pastor Luke, who had been his assistant pastor for the past 6 years. The church was gaining many millennial-aged members which he felt would respond better to younger leadership.

Pastor Paul has a pastor’s heart, tenderized from his own life-experiences in listening and heeding God’s Word. While this must have been one of the hardest decisions he had to make as a pastor I believe the Lord blessed through his humility, and transitioned the church with a thriving, millennial-aged core membership faithfully serving the Lord. Pastor Paul now enjoys seeing his own son faithfully preaching and teaching the whole counsel of God, week in and week out, from the church God used him to start in 1996.

I recommend you schedule Pastor Paul for meetings knowing you are getting a Spirit-led man of God, sensitive to pastors and their flocks, who will be used of God for the perfecting of the saints. You will not be disappointed.
