To all saints in Christ concerned,
I would like to heartily recommend a fellow laborer of the ministry of the LORD Jesus to you, brother Paul Iannello. The LORD is directing him into the work of evangelism, and it is my heart felt opinion that he will be a faithful servant of the LORD Jesus Christ in this field.
I met brother Iannello well over 20 years ago, as he was pastoring a church the LORD had used him to start. The evidence of his diligence was obvious to me upon first impression. I could see it in his personal life, family life, public life, in the church, and later witnessed it while he was in the pulpit. He has been a marvelous preacher of the word of GOD, and one who is very instructive and edifying to the saints.
Over a year ago he stepped down as pastor of that church, after serving there faithfully for 22 years. During this time, many brethren were helped from within and without that local church ministry. Many pastors were also helped, who were brought in for fellowship and to preach. I was personally aware of many families that were saved, encouraged, and made stronger under his preaching.
This brother has weathered many a storm and seen many battles, and is still as diligent and vigilant as his first impression he had made upon me so many years ago. He is founded on the rock (Mat. 7:24, 25).
The work of evangelism is essential to the body of Christ, as are those the Bible deems as “evangelists” (Ephesians 4:11-15). The Bible principle is that in the mouths of two or three witnesses every word shall be established. So, many times the LORD has sent in an evangelist to a church whose members are dulling and distracted by life and the pressures of the world, strengthening the hands of the pastor of that particular church through preaching and teaching and being a second witness to truths he has been laboring to get the members to receive. I have no doubt that Brother Paul will be a great help to pastors and the churches they oversee.
He is quite friendly, and personable. He loves the people of God. He enjoys the ministry of Christ. Yet as a minister of truth he is sober and serious, as well as being structured and disciplined. He is insightful, and he is very much involved.
Brother Iannello is a man of God, with courage and conviction, and I believe he will be a blessing to many as an evangelist.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
Laboring in the fields, listening for the shout,
